Description
Monel 400 is a deformable nickel-copper-based nickel alloy with excellent resistance to seawater corrosion and chemical corrosion, as well as strong resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. This alloy is one of the few materials capable of performing well in fluoride environments, demonstrating good oxidation resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorine gas media.
This versatile alloy is widely utilized in various applications, including valve and pump components, electronic parts, chemical processing equipment, gasoline and freshwater storage tanks, petroleum refining systems, propeller shafts, marine fixtures and fasteners, boiler feedwater heaters, and other heat exchangers.

Product Processing Flow

1. Material Selection

2. Heating

5. Machining
The forged parts are machined to achieve precise dimensions and surface finishes. CNC machining is often used for high accuracy.
6. Surface Treatment
Surface treatments such as pickling, polishing, or coating may be applied to improve corrosion resistance or meet specific customer requirements.
7. Inspection and Testing
The components undergo rigorous inspection and testing, including:
Dimensional Inspection: To ensure compliance with specifications.
Mechanical Testing: Tensile, hardness, and impact tests.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Ultrasonic testing (UT), dye penetrant inspection (DPI), or radiographic testing (RT) to detect defects.
Chemical Analysis: To verify the alloy composition.
