New Shipment For GH4169 (Alloy 718) Forged Ring

Sep 29, 2025

Product Description

Alloy 718 (GH4169) refers to the same nickel-based precipitation-hardening superalloy, known by two different names. Its composition primarily includes nickel (50%-55%), chromium (17%-21%), and iron, among other elements. It is suitable for extreme service conditions ranging from -253°C to 700°C.

Key Properties

High-Temperature Strength: Exhibits excellent tensile strength at 700°C and remains workable above 650°C.

Creep and Fatigue Resistance: Ideal for high-stress components, ensuring long-term service reliability.

Corrosion Resistance: Offers oxidation and radiation resistance, making it particularly suitable for harsh environments such as nuclear reactors.

Application Fields

Aerospace: Turbine blades, turbine disks, and rocket engine components.

Nuclear Energy: Nuclear reactor fuel cladding, control rod drive mechanisms.

Industrial Applications: Oil and gas drill pipes, fasteners for offshore platforms, and high-temperature molds.

Processing Characteristics
Its properties can be optimized through heat treatment (solution and aging processes). The alloy experiences minimal mechanical performance degradation after welding, making it suitable for manufacturing complex components.
