CDA954 Aluminum Bronze Bar
CDA954 aluminum bronze bar is a high-performance copper alloy known for its exceptional strength, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. It belongs to the family of aluminum bronze alloys, which are widely used in demanding industrial applications due to their unique combination of mechanical and chemical properties. CDA954 Aluminum Bronze Bar typically contains an aluminum content ranging from 8.0% to 10.0%. Aluminum bronze alloys can be categorized into two types: ordinary (simple) aluminum bronze and special (complex) aluminum bronze. Ordinary aluminum bronze is a binary alloy consisting primarily of copper and aluminum, while special aluminum bronze is a multi-element alloy that includes additional elements such as iron, nickel, manganese, and silicon to further enhance its performance.
Description
Product Description
The CDA954 aluminum bronze bar is a versatile and durable material, offering a unique combination of strength, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Its properties make it an ideal choice for demanding applications in industries such as marine, aerospace, oil and gas, and industrial machinery. By leveraging the benefits of CDA954, manufacturers can ensure reliable performance and longevity in critical components.
In the Chinese national standard for processed copper and copper alloys, there are 9 alloy grades for aluminum bronze, including CDA954, QAl0-4-4, QAl0-5-5, and others. Ordinary aluminum bronze can be strengthened through heat treatment, offering higher strength than tin bronze and superior resistance to high-temperature oxidation. Special aluminum bronze, on the other hand, provides exceptional strength and wear resistance. When subjected to quenching and tempering, its hardness improves significantly, along with excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.
CDA954 Aluminum Bronze Bar exhibits good corrosion resistance in various environments, such as atmosphere, freshwater, and seawater. It also offers decent machinability, is weldable, and resists fiber welding. Additionally, the raw material of CDA954 Aluminum Bronze Bar demonstrates good hot workability, making it suitable for pressure processing under high-temperature conditions. These properties make it a highly versatile and reliable material for demanding industrial applications.
Composition of CDA954 Aluminum Bronze
- Copper (Cu): ~81-85% (base metal)
- Aluminum (Al): ~10-11.5% (primary alloying element)
- Iron (Fe): ~3-5% (enhances strength and wear resistance)
- Nickel (Ni): ~1-2% (improves corrosion resistance and mechanical properties)
