Chromium Zirconium Copper (CuCrZr) is a high-strength, high-conductivity copper alloy. Its composition includes a copper matrix with 0.1–1.5% chromium and 0.02–0.6% zirconium. Key properties: hardness >75 HRB, electrical conductivity ≥75% IACS, softening temperature 550°C, density 8.89–8.94 g/cm³, melting point 1030–1100°C, tensile strength 300–640 MPa, and elastic modulus ~117 GPa.
Performance is optimized through vacuum melting, solution aging, and cold working. The alloy is widely used for resistance welding electrodes, EDM electrodes, molds, motor commutators, and electrical connectors. It also serves aerospace (engine parts, turbine blades), automotive (welding electrodes, brake discs), and electronics (connectors, semiconductor heat sinks). With better cost-performance than beryllium copper, it is a common substitute for beryllium copper in high-strength, high-thermal-conductivity applications such as plastic and shoe molds.

1. Excellent Electrical and Thermal Conductivity
Chromium zirconium copper maintains high electrical conductivity (≥75% IACS) while also offering good thermal conductivity of approximately 330 W/(m·K). This makes it excel in power transmission and heat exchange applications, effectively reducing energy loss and improving system efficiency.

Through appropriate heat treatment, chromium zirconium copper achieves high strength and hardness. Its tensile strength reaches ≥380 N/mm², with a hardness of HRB 78–83 and HV 110–145. 4. Crack Resistance and High Softening Temperature
