Mechanical Properties

A broad range of strength and hardness is obtainable with INCONEL alloy 600, depending on form and condition. In the annealed condition, the alloy exhibits moderate yield strengths of 25,000 to 50,000 psi (172 to 345 MPa). Yield strengths in that range, combined with elongations of 55 to 35%, permit the alloy to be fabricated with little difficulty. Heavily cold-worked material, however, can have tensile strengths as high as 220,000 psi (1517 MPa). Values for properties reported in this publication are typical but are not suitable for specification purposes unless stated as minimum or maximum.
